  1. Happy February!

Do you have a child that does not like to read?

Most often a reluctant reader just has not found the genre or type of reading that appeals to them. Parents need to task themselves with providing a student with multiple styles of writing and a plentitude of reading topics. Have the students read the variety. You may need to even have them read to you out, loud or start reading to them each day. Once the student finds a genre that appeals to them, I guarantee you will find them reading on their own. If you are in need of suggestions for Authors or book titles for your child please contact me!

  3. The 4th of July, in the USA, is a good time for students and parents to spend time together. For those of you currently working on school work, take the day off! Parents this is a good time of year to review the history and beginning of the United States. During the week, of the holiday, have your child spend time researching one of our founding fathers, such as Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton or George Washington. This holiday is also a good time to have students help you in the kitchen. Cooking lessons are a great way to extend one's education. Practical lessons are just as important as book learning.

In all things remember work to remember why the United States was started and what the Constitution means to its citizens.
